PUTRAJAYA, July 28 (Bernama) -- The employability of graduates of the Manpower Department Training Institutes (ILJTM) showed they have been well-received by their employers, with improving figures in the last three consecutive years, said Human Resource Minister Datuk Seri Richard Riot Anak Jaem.

He said the statistics on these graduates showed that 82.5 per cent of them gained employment in 2013, 87 per cent in 2014 and 92.7 per cent in 2015.

"This shows the response has been good from the employers. I am convinced ILJTM graduates will continue to have a place in the job sector," he said in his speech at the 21st ILJTM convocation, here today.

The text of his speech was read out by Human Resource Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Adenan Ab. Rahman.

Riot also advised ILJTM graduates that after gaining employment, they should continue improving themselves in technical, communication and leadership aspects.

The convocation today saw 2,949 graduates comprising 1,018 advanced diploma and 1,931 certificate students, receiving their scrolls.
